The Wicker Park Garden Club and Wicker Park Advisory Council in partnership with Chicago Park District are presenting Big Mulch, Big Rake, and Dog Park Cleaning Day on Saturday, April 1 at 9am - 1pm. On that day we will do the following:

  • Mulch all the trees in the park
  • Rake the lawns to remove debris
  • Clean the dog park
  • Pick up trash
  • Remove Graffiti
  • Enjoy Meeting Others and Have a Great time in the Park.

Mulching the trees assists with the health of the trees, provides a surface for better water absorption, and helps keep the soil from compacting around the trees. The mulch degrades to create soil for the next year and gives nutrients to the trees.
