Christy Webber Landscapes is a full-service landscape provider offering design, construction and maintenance programs to residential, commercial and municipal clients throughout Chicago.
CWL is a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise with the City of Chicago (W.B.E.) and Cook County and a certified Female Business Enterprise with the State of Illinois (F.B.E.).
The CWL headquarters is located at Rancho Verde, a 12.5 acre eco-industrial park on Chicago’s west side. Rancho Verde has won numerous awards for its innovative, environmentally sensitive approach to the redevelopment of a brownfield site. The headquarters building is certified LEED Platinum, the highest classification granted by the US Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
BEGINNINGS: Buying an old pickup truck (1988) and a small amount of lawn mowing equipment, Christy began cutting grass around Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. With determination and hard work, she took that small business from her kitchen table to what is now one of the largest landscape companies in Chicago.
Today, Christy Webber Landscapes has over 250 employees and an impressive fleet of trucks and equipment. Christy is honored to maintain some of the most prestigious Chicago landmarks, such as Millennium Park and O’Hare and Midway airports. Her company’s recent landscape construction projects include Kennedy King College, Millennium Park and McCormick Place West. In addition, Christy Webber Landscapes continues to serve hundreds of residential clients, some of which have been with Christy since her small beginnings.
In 2008, Christy was recognized for her entrepreneurial achievements and lasting impact on Chicago’s business community through induction into the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. Her company has received numerous distinctions as well, such as inclusion on Inc. Magazine’s Inner City 100 list of America's fastest-growing urban businesses.
