COMMUNITY MEETINGS ARE HELD on the 2nd Thursday of Each Month from 6:30pm-7:45pm in the Wicker Park Field House located at 1425 N. Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60622

The purpose of these Wicker Park Advisory Council Meetings is for the Board to INVITE & MEET Wicker Park Patrons to obtain their input on how to Improve the Park to Better Serve The Community.

All Wicker Park Patrons are invited to attend and Share Your Ideas

(WPAC is a Not-For Profit Instituion working in Partnership & Compliance with the Chicago Park District – Tax ID # 36-4466356 – Not-for Profit Organization since 2001).

WE INVITE all interested Patrons of Wicker Park to JOIN US at our monthly meetings and help us learn what you’d like to see in the park and then to communicate that information to The Chicago Park District and to our Board to CREATE New Programming, Events, and initiatives that serve the needs of the Park’s Patrons, We Invite you to Volunteer at Our Events, and assist with Fundraising for our projects.   Our Board is composed of people who want to CREATE an even better Park and Neighborhood.  The Board consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasure and the Chair persons of these committees: Fundraising, Gardens, Event Planning, Event Management, Promotions, Dog Park, Dog Park Renovation, Community Outreach, Volunteer Recruitment.  We invite you to join our committees and CREATE.

OUR MISSION & GOALS

  • The Purpose of the Council will be to plan effective ways for the community to better utilize their leisure time at Wicker Park.
  • To provide advice and assistance to the Chicago Park District on matters relating to the concerns and needs of the Wicker Park community and all users of Wicker Park.
  • To increase community cooperation and awareness by involving all segments of the Wicker Park community and all users of Wicker Park in planning and implementation of Council and Chicago Park District projects.
  • To provide the community with a vehicle by which information can be shared with the Community.
  • To assist in ensuring that necessary funds are available to develop and maintain the physical facilities of Wicker Park for all users.
