Maria Mariottini will teach The Garden as Inspiration Watercolor Class,  a six week class that explores forms and textures in the Spring Wicker Park Garden. The first session will be an intro to the materials and technique. Each following session will have a focus to encourage expanded skill in using watercolor. The goal after 6 weeks is to fill your notebook with observations and your paintings that will fuel ideas and aspiration for your future work.

Maria Mariottini has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago and a Master in Educating Adults from DePaul. She produced the Bucktown Arts Fest for 20 years and still serves as a juror. She is committed to the value of arts and community.

SHARE WORK WITH OTHERS – EACH WEEK – We will share our work at the End of Class, discuss what we produced and take tips from others about what worked for them to obtain their final work.

The Goal of the Series is to explore the Wicker Park Gardens as a source of inspiration to YOU as you learn various painting and drawing techniques, to meet and share your work with others, and to assist in funding the 10,000 sq. ft. of gardens in Wicker Park.

**The Garden As Inspiration Series is a Project of the Wicker Park Garden Club and Advisory Council WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP with The Robey Chicago and The Chicago Park District.
