Shade Garden Designs
Leslie Zimmerman & Doug Wood – Wicker Park Garden Club
Register: wpgarden@aol.com

Leslie Zimmerman and Doug Wood will discuss garden designs that work for various types of shade. Shade garden designs can include plants of different shapes, sizes, leaf colors, and textures. Attractive and remarkable gardens can be created if you design with these elements in mind. In the workshop, you will view several shade designs and learn how to group plants, make connections between groups of plants, and view the four-season interest of these shade compositions. The use of shrubs, perennials, and spring blooming bulbs, with the addition of summer annuals and bulbs will be demonstrated. Both Leslie and Doug have gardened for years and have regularly experimented with designs for shade.
