Two security cameras will be installed covering Wicker Park in the next couple of months.
These cameras will be paid for from my Menu funding and other Park District monies.
The people who are involved in this park are some of the most active and proud community representatives in the ward.
These cameras will enable the officers of the 14th District to more easily and effectively police the park. Over the last year, we’ve seen too many instances of vandalism, drinking and drug use in Wicker Park.
These illegal activities need to be stopped cold and I’m confident that the installation of the cameras will aid us in this effort.
